CONSCIOUS CREATIVITY : Philippa Stanton
I started following Philippa Stanton from @5ftinf at Instagram a long time ago, because she is so inspiring in her stylings. She uses whatever she has around her - in the home, in the garden, in the drawers, in the children's rooms, on the road, etc. She puts it together in a delicate colour order and preferably with her old wooden table as a background. Every time it is a pleasure to see her pictures in my feed.
When she published her book, I bought it and became even more fascinated. When Philippa started @5ftinf, she was alone with her child and not much else - and did not want to be in a workplace all day, so she did not see her child. She thought about her options - and decided ‘being creative’ should be her job. And over time she built her business around @5ftinf.
This and a lot of great advice for working with your own creativity, she points out in the book. She helps us become explorers in our own lives and find creativity, where we did not expect to. Furthermore she shows the way to possibilities of putting it all together into something concrete.
So if you are stuck in the middle of it all - or do not feel creative, but want to be. Or just want to explore colours, shapes and objects - then Conscious Creativity is the right book. And Philippa's pictures only make the book even more beautiful!
